Veller Advisory

Most fundraising advisors have never signed a SAFT. Ilya has signed them from both sides.

Veller Advisory is a hands-on engagement with Ilya Veller, a former Wall Street and crypto CFO who has raised, structured and closed rounds from inside the company. Investor targeting, outreach sequencing, the model that survives diligence, the data room, the terms. Scope and price are set on a free intro call, and the call is worth having even if we never work together.

The free intro call

Thirty minutes on your round: the number, the stage, the story, and where it is stuck. You get a straight read on whether the round is fundable as described, what would change that, and which three things to fix first. If there is a fit, a written proposal follows within two working days. If there is not, you leave with the read anyway.

Who you will actually be working with

Veller Advisory by RaisePath is not a team of associates. It is Ilya Veller, and the engagement is personal.

Ilya has spent over 20 years in finance. He started at Bank of America in New York (1998 to 2000) and moved into operating roles as CFO for technology and crypto companies. Along the way:

  • Raised $12 million for Vara (Gear Technologies) and took it through to a Coinbase listing.
  • CFO of Blum, a non-custodial perpetuals DEX built as a Telegram Mini App with a community of over 90 million Telegram subscribers. Stood up the entire finance function in six weeks: accounting, treasury, reporting and controls, from zero to running.
  • Has structured and negotiated SAFEs, SAFTs, token warrants, option pools and investor rights, and has sat on both the issuing and the investing side of those documents.

That last point matters. Most fundraising advisors have never signed a SAFT or explained a token warrant to an auditor. Ilya has done both, which is why founders in Web3, fintech and AI infrastructure find the conversation shorter than usual.

He also invests, through Veller Partners LLC, in a small number of technology companies. Veller Advisory is a separate service and carries no promise, express or implied, that Veller Partners will invest in your company.

Who this is for
  • Founders raising $500k to $10M in equity, tokens or a mix, who already have a deck and a product.
  • Technology companies broadly, with the deepest experience in Web3, fintech, AI and infrastructure.
  • Teams that want a CFO's judgment on the round, not a cheerleader.
Who we turn down

We say no more often than we say yes. Specifically, we do not take on:

  • Token projects with no working product. A whitepaper and a roadmap are not a raise.
  • Anyone who wants a guaranteed exchange listing. Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is lying to you.
  • Paid-promotion token launches, or any raise where the plan depends on retail buyers rather than investors.
  • Rounds that need a number the business cannot support. If the ask is wrong, we will tell you on the call and stop there.
  • Founders who want us to take the meetings without them. You will be in every conversation that matters.

If that reads as strict, it is. The founders we work with want it that way, because the same standards apply to the investors we put in front of them.

What an engagement covers

Every engagement is shaped on the call. Most include some or all of:

1

Capital raising, start to wire

Investor targeting from your RaisePath report: who, in what order, and why. Outreach that gets replies. The financial model and the data room built to hold up in diligence. Structure: SAFE, priced round, SAFT, token warrants, option pool sizing, and what each one costs you later. Term sheet review and negotiation support through to signing and wire. Investor updates after the money lands.

Once the round is in

Founders who close with Veller Advisory often keep Ilya on for the finance work that follows.

2

Financial planning and forecasting

The model, budget and reporting pack that survives diligence, tailored for technology and Web3 realities.

3

Treasury and digital assets

Fiat and crypto treasury design, custody discipline and compliance across jurisdictions, so raised capital is safe and auditable.

4

Global financial operations

Standing up accounting, tax, legal, compliance, HR and investor relations functions that scale with you.

5

Cost optimization

Runway extension from the expense side: vendor negotiation, process efficiency and honest cuts.
